Unstable prices of cucumbers

More sunny days and higher temperatures during last nights resulted in bigger supply of cucumbers growing under protections as well as field cucumber for pickling. It caused that their prices started decreasing again. But this season one can observe big fluctuation in prices of cucumbers so probably they will not remain stable.

On Monday, July 5, the price of greenhouse cucumbers decreased to 1.20-1.50 PLN (0.29-0.36 euro)/kg in central Poland and 1.60-2.00 PLN (0.39-0.49 euro)/kg in the south. Prices of field cucumbers decreased to 0.90 PLN (0.22 euro)/kg for cucumbers size 10-13 and 1.20 PLN (0.29 euro)/kg for size 6-9.
