Upward trend in cucumbers prices

Despite rainy and cold weather last week prices of greenhouse cucumbers remained stable till the end of September. Their prices were at the level 2.20-2.30 PLN (0.55-0.58 euro)/kg. However low temperature adversely influenced the supply of cucumbers and as a result at he beginning of current week prices of cucumbers started growing. On Monday, October 4 price of long cucumbers was 3.00-3.50 PLN (0.76-0.88 euro) and price of short ones was 3.50-4.00 PLN (0.88-1.00 euro)/kg.
