Weekly summary – fresh-market.pl price analyse

From 5 to 9th of May decline in prices of early cabbages growing under protection was noted. Volumes of cabbages is rising and quality is sufficient. Cabbages are 0.8 – 1.2 kg in weight and have outer leaves for protection.

They are sold in boxes and in wooden boxes (6 pieces each).
At the beginning of season price of early Chinese cabbage increased and then deeply decreased. At the begging of season cabbages with undeveloped heads were sold and then supplies of well developed cabbages appeared. Presently prices are decreasing, volumes are rising and quality is sufficient.

Price of leeks decreased after 5th of May as a result of supplies of domestic product planted in autumn. Leeks are thick, short, sound with fresh green leaves.
During last days prices of domestic cucumbers were decreasing and supplies were rising.
At the begging of May rising of prices of domestic greenhouse tomatoes was forecasted. Price decrease which was noted in last days created interest of traders in tomatoes. After two days it appeared that it is shortage of big volumes of tomatoes and price increased by over 10 % and now is stable.

On the markets the lack of good quality products of previous season (carrots, cabbages and beetroots) are becoming. Prices of these vegetables increased. Shortage of domestic products is supplemented by imported products. During next days first courgettes are expected and after 20th of May cauliflowers growing under protection. Sorrel, rhubarb and early soup vegetables (growing under protection) are available.
