The price of apples for processing again increased last week. Near Grójec prices of industrial apples reached 0.75-0.78 PLN (0.189-0.196 euro)/kg. Near Sandomierz price of such apples was 0.75 PLN (0.189 euro)/kg. Near Lublin price was 0.73-0.75 PLN (0.184-0.189 euro)/kg. The lowest price of industrial apples was in wielkopolskie province - 0.70-0.72 PLN (0.176-0.181 euro)/kg.
The purchase prices of eating apples for export increased. Prices of apples of such varieties like Cortland, Shampion, Gloster, Ligol or Jonagored were 1.00-1.20 PLN (0.25-0.30)/kg for size 60+, 1.30-1.40 PLN (0.33-0.35 euro)/kg for size 70+, 1.40-1.50 PLN (0.35-0.38 euro)/kg for 75 + and 1.70 PLN (0.43 euro)/kg for size 80 +. The price of Gala and Golden Delicious was from 1.50-1.60 PLN (0.35-0.40 euro)/kg for 65+ to 1.60-1.80 PLN (0.40-0.45 euro)/kg for 70+.
The purchase price of pears remained stable. Price of Lucas was around 2.00 PLN (0.50 euro)/kg for size 65+. The price of Conference was from 2.00 to 2.50 PLN (0.50-0.63 euro)/kg for size 65+
Last week plums were sold mainly on the wholesale markets, however some export companies were buying plums of variety President from cold storage at price 1.50-2.00 PLN (0.35-0.50 euro)/kg for size 40 +.
Price of peaches imported from Spain was stable at the level 28 PLN (7.05 euro)/10 kg. Prices of nectarines slightly increased to 36 PLN (9.07 euro)/kg.
Price of table grapes imported from Italy was from 35 to 45 PLN (8.81-11.33 euro)/7 kg for white grapes and from 35 to 50 PLN (8.81-12.59 euro)/7 kg for black grapes. Price of white seedless grapes imported from Turkey was 6.00-7.00 PLN (1.51-1.76 euro)/kg.
Price of oranges imported from South Africa was around 4.00 PLN (1.00 euro)/kg The price of grapefruit imported from Israel was 4.69 PLN (1.18 euro)/kg. Prices of lemons from Spain, which started replacing lemons from Argentina and Chile, were 4.00-4.20 PLN (1.00-1.06 euro)/kg. Prices of mandarins from Spain were 3.50-6.00 PLN (0.88-1.51 euro)/kg depending on size and quality.
Price of bananas imported from Ecuador also remained stable but differed depending on brand. Price of Dole bananas was 3.06 PLN (0.77 euro)/kg, Chiquita bananas – 3.44 PLN (0.87 euro)/kg. Price of bananas of less known brands was around 2.67 PLN (0.67 euro)/kg.
