Last week prices of apples for processing strongly fluctuated. At the beginning of the week their price was 0.50-0.53 PLN (0.125-0.133 euro)/kg in mazowieckie province and 0.53-0.55 PLN (0.133-0.138 euro)/kg near Sandomierz and 0.55-0.57 PLN (0.138-0.143 euro)/kg near Opole Lubelskie. On Thursday, September 23 prices of apples for processing near Grójec decreased by 0.15-0.20 PLN (0.038-0.05 euro)/kg what resulted that producers stopped selling product. On Friday prices again increased to 0.50 PLN (0.125 euro)/kg.
The purchase prices of eating apples remained stable. Prices of apples of such varieties like Lobo, Cortland, Shampion, Celeste, Paulared and Delikates were 0.75-0.80 PLN (0.19-0.20 euro)/kg for size 60-70, 0.80-1.00 PLN (0.20-0.25 euro)/kg for size 60+/65+, 1.20-1.40 PLN (0.30-0.35 euro)/kg for size 70+ and 1.50 PLN (0.38 euro)/kg for size 75 +. The price of Gala was 1.40 PLN (0.35 euro)/kg.
The purchase price of pears was from 2.00 PLN (0.50 euro)/kg for fruit less than 65mm to 3.00 PLN (0.75 euro)/kg for fruit 65 +.
The purchase price of plums was 1.30-1.50 PLN (0.33-0.38 euro)/kg for size 35+ and 1.50-1.80 PLN (0.38-0.45 euro)/kg for plums 40+. Plums of President variety were in the biggest demand. The purchase price of plums for processing remained stable at the level 0.50-0.60 PLN (0.12-0.15 euro)/kg.
Chokeberries for processing were still purchasing last week. Their price was from 0.75-0.85 PLN (0.19-0.21 euro)/kg to 1.00 PLN (0.25 euro)/kg for organic fruit.
Price of table grapes imported from Italy was from 34 do 38 PLN (8.56-9.57 euro)/7 kg for white grapes and from 40 to 43 PLN (10.07-10.83 euro)/7 kg for black grapes. Price of seedless grapes was 6.00-6.60 PLN (1.51-1.66 euro)/kg for white and 12.00 PLN (3.02 euro)/kg for red grapes.
Price of imported peaches and nectarines was from 28 to 30 PLN (7.05-7.56 euro)/10 kg.
Price of oranges and grapefruit imported from RSA remained stable - 3.47 PLN (0.87 euro)/kg and 4.12 PLN (1.04 euro)/kg respectively. Price of lemon imported from Argentina was around 6.47 PLN (1.63 euro)/kg. Price of bananas imported from Ecuador slightly decreased to 3.06 PLN (0.77 euro)/kg
