What is price of cherries?

On the market cherries so called ‘May cherries’ are already available. At the wholesale market in Bronisze prices of cherries (1st class, packed in 5 kg boxes) are 2.49 – 2.66 EUR/kg.

Cherries trees are in good condition after last winter and in 2008 good crops of cherries of late varieties are expected in comparison with those of last year. Total crops of cherries are estimated at 40 – 50 % higher than in 2007 when total crops amounted to 21 thousand tons. Last year flowers of cherries were freezed and crops of cherries was one of the lowest in the course of last years.
