White cabbage – still very high demand

On Thursday, May 6, the minimum purchase price of white cabbage exceeded 1 PLN (0.24 €)/kg. Producers are demanding 1.30 - 1.50 PLN (0.32-0.37 €)/kg for good quality cabbage from cold storage (heads up to 3 kg). The demand from Russian market is still high and they are ready to buy all quantities of cabbage offered by producers. But recently prices had been changing so quickly that many buyers withdrew. The question is how prices will influence this high demand and what further price expectations have producers.
