Apples: will prices increase?

On the south-east of Poland, already on Sunday it was possible to meet the buyers from Ukraine who offered 0.70 PLN/kg for apples of red varieties and Idared 70 + (price without packaging). Is it the begging of the upward trend in prices? As far in the region where there are a lot of apples (Grójec) the prices are stable. In the surrounding of Grójec on Monday, 2 February prices of Idared were 0.60 – 0.65 PLN/kg. Moreover the volume of export started decreasing as a result of situation that Russian market is saturated with Polish apples. Additionally the frost weather in Russia doesn’t also support the trade.
