Bigger export of plums

This year’s twice higher harvests of plums (104 thousand t) resulted in the appreciable increase of the export of these fruits.

Additionally the demand from recipients in Germany was higher because of low crops of plums in this country. According to the latest data of analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) from January till September 2008 Poland exported 15.5 thousand t of plums at value 7.1 million euro. In the same period 2007 the export amounted to only 3.2 thousand t.
