Chicory on the market

Chicory is especially popular in the winter and spring periods before the early vegetables appear on the market.

On the wholesale markets in Białystok and Elbląg the price of domestic chicory packed on trays 0.5 kg is 4.00-4.50 PLN (1.00-1.12 euro)/kg. Prices were stable for last two weeks. At the beginning of February bigger supplies of chicory from the Netherlands and Belgium are expected.
