Crops of cherries in 2008

This year crops of cherries will probably be lower but according to fruit growers crops will strongly depend on region of Poland and variety of cherries. In south and south-east Poland fall of flowers for ‘Łutówka’ variety was at level 40 – 60 %.

In central Poland crops of varieties ‘Łutówka’, ‘Koral’ and ‘Ametyst’ should be at good level. Crops of other varieties ‘North Star’, ‘Saphir’ and ‘Groniasta z Ujfehertoi’ will probably be worse. After all the weather during harvest time will be deciding factor.
