Decrease of fruit price in 2008?

Purchase price of most fruit in 2008 will probably much decrease in comparison with very high prices of last year. Purchase prices of dessert apples will decrease by 40 % to 0.39 EUR/kg. Prices of apples for processing will be at level of 0.09 – 0.10 EUR/kg.

However prices of some fruit will stay at relatively high level: pears (0.60 EUR/kg), plums (0.39 EUR/kg), cherries (0.89 EUR/kg), dessert strawberries (0.89 EUR/kg), strawberries for processing (0.89 EUR/kg) and raspberries for processing (1.04 EUR/kg).
