Decreasing prices of imported strawberries

Due to last week rains in Spain the supply of strawberries was low and prices increased significantly. The increase was at about 50%.

The weather in Spain got better and the situation has stabilized. However it is the end of the season there. This is why, despite better weather, quality of Spanish strawberries not the same as few weeks ago.

The increase of supply and lower quality influence prices which started decreasing again. Currently there are Spanish strawberries on the market: in 2kg packaging at price 16.00 – 20.00 PLN/ 2 kg, in 500 g packaging at price 8.00 – 9.00 PLN and Italian strawberries at price 45.00 – 52.00 PLN/ 5 kg.
