Decreasing prices of onion

Despite low crops of onion in the current season, prices of this vegetable are rather low at the moment. Producers did not expect such low demand and prices. The price is 0.80-0.90 PLN (0.20-0.22 euro)/kg what means that it fell to the level of November last year. Many producers delayed selling onion in December and January when prices were relatively high, waiting for higher prices. Traders had to import onion from Holland and Austria. And as a result producers are trying to sell onion quickly at the moment because the quality is becoming worse rapidly.
