Demand for broccoli for processing

The demand for broccoli for deep-freezing much increased last years. Processing plants use broccoli also for deep-frozen vegetables mixes.

At present purchase prices of broccoli in the majority of processing plants are higher than last year's prices. In kujawsko-pomorskie province purchase prices of broccoli divided into pieces are 0.46 EUR/kg and 0.43 EUR/kg depending on the quality class defined by processing plants. Last year purchase prices of broccoli were lower by 0.09 - 0.12 EUR/kg.
