Fluctuation in prices of Chinese cabbage

Prices of Chinese cabbage were very unstable during last two weeks. It was due to fluctuation in demand for this vegetable caused by big retail chains. When retail chains stopped buying Chinese cabbage its price decreased immediately. Additionally retail chains did not want to pay more than 2.30 PLN (0.60 euro)/kg, while prices reached even 3.00 PLN (0.78 euro)/kg on the market and 2.20 PLN (0.57 euro)/kg for producer. At the moment prices are lower. The purchase price is 1.55-1.80 PLN (0.40-0.47 euro)/kg depending on the region of Poland. Lower export to Russia also influenced prices of Chinese cabbage.
