Growing supply of Polish cauliflowers

Cold and rain in May adversely affected the vegetation of vegetables. It also concerns cauliflowers and their supply was lower than usual this time of year. However, the supply of cauliflowers is growing and now their price is lower than at the end of May last year.

Their price in the South Poland is from 2.50 to 3.00 PLN (0.61-0.73 €/pcs. In the center of Poland producer prices of cauliflowers are higher - from 3.00 to 3.50 PLN (0.73-0.85 €)/pcs. On the wholesale markets prices of cauliflower are at the level 4 PLN (0.97 €)/pcs.

Such prices allow to compete with imported cauliflowers. As a result prices of imported cauliflowers are decreasing quickly and traders want to sell last imported cauliflowers as quick as possible. At the beginning of the week the price of the best quality French or Dutch cauliflowers was even 7 PLN (1.71 €)/pcs. On Wednesday, May 26 their prices decreased to 4 - 5 PLN (0.97-1.22 €)/pcs.
