High demand for new crop cabbage

The demand for white cabbage of new crop is high as usually at this time of the year. The supply of domestic product is growing. On Monday, May 9 the producer price of Polish early cabbage was 2.00-2.80 PLN (0.51-0.71 euro)/pcs. On the wholesale market prices was higher – to 4 PLN (1.02 euro)/pcs. The price of imported cabbage from Italy or Macedonia was similar to prices of domestic product, however the quality better – bigger and firmer heads.
