High prices of imported lettuces

Last weeks one could observe higher than usual prices of imported lettuces. And apparently this is not the end of the upward trend, especially as regards Spanish Iceberg lettuce. On Wednesday, March 17, the wholesale price of this lettuce was even 65 PLN (16.80 €)/box 10 pcs.

The increase in prices of lettuces imported from Italy is not so strong. The price of Italian butterhead lettuce was 38 - 40 PLN (9.82-10.33 €)/box 16 pcs, and the price of curled leave lettuce was 32 PLN (8.27 €)/box 12 pcs.
