High prices of onion

Due to rainy weather it is impossible to collect onions from fields. It influences prices which are higher than usual at this time of the year. If weather improves prices may slightly decrease but crops of onion are predicted at low level so it is also possible that prices remain at the relatively high level.

At the moment selling prices of onion are from 0.80 to 1.10 PLN (0.20-0.28 euro)/kg and locally even to 1.20 PLN (0.30 euro)/kg. Prices depends on quality, which is generally poor.
