High prices of vegetables – difficult export

The level of prices of some Polish vegetables are comparable with those in other EU countries. It concerns mainly onion, cabbage and carrot.

Prices of these vegetables in Poland do not differ from those in the Netherlands, Germany or Austria. This situation caused that Polish export lost competitive advantage - lower prices. As a result export to eastern markets is more difficult in this season.

The only one advantage of Polish export is shorter distance from our country to eastern market and in consequence lower costs of transport.
