Higher crops of greenhouse tomatoes

 In 2007 GUS (Central Statistical Office) estimated crops of greenhouse tomatoes on 412,4 thousand tons. According to GUS tomatoes were planted on the area of 2451 ha.

In comparison to previous year production of tomatoes increased by ca. 2% and the plantation area decreased by ca. 4%. Crops of these vegetables are gradually increasing. For instance in 2003 average crops were 15,5 and in 2007 16,8 kg/square meter.
