In Podkarpackie region bilberries are getting cheaper

Bilberries are getting cheaper on the wholesale market in Rzeszów. One week ago wholesale prices were still reaching 3,74 EUR/kg (basket of 2 kg), while at present prices decreased to 2,49 EUR/kg.

High crop of bilberries in Podkarpackie area pushed their prices to the price level of blueberries. Producers are supplying more and more chains of supermarkets with bilberries (in containers 0.5 and 0.25 kg). The demand for these fruits at much lower prices than in previous years is high and many producers are going to enlarge plantations of these fruits.
