Increase in prices of root vegetables
In March the prices of the majority of root vegetables increased as a result of insufficient supply of these vegetables intended both for domestic market as well as for export.
At the beginning of March the average purchase price of beetroot grew up by 11% from 0.56 PLN (0.12 euro)/kg to 0.62 PLN (0.14 euro)/kg, carrot by 3% from 1.08 PLN (0.24 euro)/kg to 1.11 PLN (0.25 euro)/kg, parsley by 1 % from 1.71 PLN (0.38 euro)/kg to 1.73 PLN (0.39 euro)/kg and celeriac by 9% from 1.27 PLN (0.28 euro)/kg to 1.40 PLN (0.31 euro)/kg.
