Late-summer strawberries on the wholesale markets

On wholesale markets late-summer varieties of strawberries are sold (e.g. Selva variety). Prices of these fruits are much higher than of traditional varieties of strawberries. At present in Poznań wholesale prices of strawberries in 0.5 kg packaging are 3.10 EUR/kg for the class extra.

Many producers starts such production of late varieties because of the smaller price risk. Prices of such strawberries are stable every year and they do not have such economic fluctuation like e.g. strawberries for processing.
