Lemons shortage remains

This year prices of lemons and lemon juice concentrate are high as a result of low supply on the world market and high demand. We can see this phenomenon also in our country. In April wholesale price of lemons increased twice in comparison with that of previous year and was 6.85 PLN/kg.

This week at the wholesale market in Rzeszów prices of lemons (packed in 10 kg boxes) were 7.50 - 9.00 PLN/kg , in Elbląg 8.50 PLN/kg, in Bronisze 6.70 - 8.00 PLN/kg, in Sandomierz 6.00 - 7.50 PLN/kg, in Białystok 7.70 - 7.90 PLN and in Poznań 6.50 - 7.20 PLN/kg.
