Less tomatoes for processing?

Significance of processing is much bigger in case of vegetables than in case of fruits. Annually about 600 thousand tons of vegetables are intended for processing and among them 180 – 200 thousand tons of tomatoes.

In 2008 in EU four years transition period started and after this period production aid system will be repealed. As a result of it area of tomatoes production will be probably decreasing and processing as well.
