Low prices of Cortland

In the area of Grójec purchase prices of apples of Cortland variety (size 75+, in boxes of 15 kg) intended for export are at the level of 0.15 EUR/kg.

Prices of this variety are exceptionally low and in comparison with last year they are almost three times lower. The Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS) assessed apple crops in 2008 at 2 515 thousand ton.
