Low prices of early varieties of apples

Early varieties of apples such as Papierówka, Vistabella, Early Geneva are purchased at lower prices than last year. This year huge crops of apples are expected so prices of apples will be lower.

In małopolskie province average purchase price of dessert apples is 0.56 EUR/kg, in mazowickie province 0.37 EUR/kg, in podkarpackie province 0.59 - 0.81 EUR/kg and in podlaskie province 0.71 EUR/kg. Last year the average price was about 0.74 EUR/kg. First prices of apples for processing are also lower and they amount to 0.06 EUR/kg, i.e. by 0.08 EUR less than last year.
