Lower export of sauerkraut

An export of sauerkraut has been increasing since last year. According to the Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) since January to August this year 8 thousand t of sauerkraut was exported at value 3.1 million euro.

The amount of exported sauerkraut decreased by about 30% compared with the corresponding period in 2007 and the export value decreased by about 10%. The price of sauerkraut increased from 0.30 euro/kg to 0.40 euro/kg.
