Moscow: decrease in prices of imported fruit

Last week in Moscow experts noted decrease in prices of some imported fruit. It was mainly due to higher supply. For example at the beginning of the last week prices of lemons from Turkey and Argentina decreased from 43-52 rubles (1.03-1.25 euro) to 40-45 rubles (0.96-1.08 euro) per kg.

Price of persimmons from Azerbaijan fell from 50-55 rubles (1.20-1.32 euro) per kg to 45-50 rubles (1.08-1.20 euro) per kg.

In the mid-week, experts noted decrease in prices of pears imported from Belgium. The growing supply caused that prices fell from 53-62 rubles (1.25-1.79 euro) to 48-56 rubles (1.15-1.34 euro) per kg.

Prices of pomegranate from Turkey also showed downward trend. They fell from 75 to 80 rubles (1.80-1.92 euro) per kg 64-70 rubles (1.54-1.68 euro) per kg.
