Moscow: increase in price of cucumbers

Last week on Moscow wholesale market one could observe significant increase in prices of imported cucumbers due to a temporary reduction in supply. Price of long cucumbers from Spain grew from 70-75 rubles (1.75-1.87 euro) to 80-90 rubles (2.00-2.25 euro) per kg, price of medium cucumbers from Iran - from 45-50 rubles (1.12-1.25 euro) to 65-70 rubles (1.62-1.75 euro) per kilo and by the end of the week further to 75-85 rubles (1.87-2.12 euro) per kg. Price of short cucumbers from Turkey increased from 60-65 rubles (1.50-1.62 euro)up to 70-75 rubles (1.75-1.87 euro) per kg.
