No place for imported leeks

Leeks imported from Belgium and Holland are expensive in relation to Polish ones. Situation will change as soon as cold winter come. The weather in Poland is warm and Polish leeks are of good quality. There are no problems with supply.

In the wholesale good quality and packed leeks cost 2.00 - 2.20 PLN/ kg. In purchase points prices start from 1.20 and come to 1.70 PLN/ kg. Prices are low and it stops import. Export price in Holland is at the level of 4.20 - 4.30 EUR/ 10 kg carton. It gives 1.75 - 1.80 PLN/ kg excluding transport.

Prices of leeks in Belgium and Holland are not as stable as it seems. During last two weeks thery were fluctuating at even 1.00 EUR from day to day.
