Poland: apples producers wait for export from January

Only large export to Russia may result in increase of apples price.

So far price of red varieties, size 70 + are from 0.40 to 0.60 PLN (0.095-0.14 euro)/kg (prices without packaging).

Golden Delicious and Mutsu are as usual more expensive, however cheaper than last year. Mutsu prices reach 0.90 PLN (0.22 euro)/kg.

On Russian market Polish apples can again strongly compete with apples from western Europe. And even if prices increase, Polish apples will be still competitive due to lower cost of transport.
