Poland: beginning of chokeberries harvest

Fruit growers, who are starting the harvest of chokeberries are worrying about their prices. The prices of chokeberries will probably very low due to low demand.

The first purchase price (in łodzkie province) is 0.60 PLN (0.14 euro)/kg. It means that the price level is very similar to last year when price was even 0.40 PLN (0.09 euro)/kg. Let us remind that prices were completely different in 2007, when at the end of purchase period the price of chokeberries was over 3.50 PLN (0.83 euro)/kg.
