Poland: Demand for quality export apples increased

The purchased volumes of Idared apples are also growing, while demand for these apples up until early April was quite stable. Nevertheless, Idared apple prices are lower than those of other varieties, oscillating between 0.21 and 0.39 Euro per kilo, while Golden Delicious apples reach between 0.29 and 0.46 Euro per kilo. Overall, apple prices in Poland vary considerably, standing at between 0.21 and 0.50 Euro per kilo, depending on variety, quality and calibre. During the same period last year, prices stood approximately at around the same levels as this season.
