Poland: difficult season for producers of red cabbage

In the second half of May 2008 the price of red cabbage was about 1.40 PLN (0.32 euro)/kg and was still growing as a result of low supply. This year the situation is completely different.

The demand for red cabbage is very low and the supply is still relatively high. The price of red cabbage is very low 0.30 – 0.40 PLN (0.07-0.09 euro)/kg for many weeks and there is no chance for increase.
