Poland: fruit growers disappointed with prices of raspberries

During last days the purchase price of raspberries slightly increased in lubelskie province where there is the biggest production of this fruit.

At the moment in processing plants prices of raspberries are 3.00 – 3.30 PLN (0.73-0.80 euro)/kg for IQF fruit and 2.50 – 2.60 PLN (0.61-0.63 euro)/kg for juice concentrate. However many fruit farmers are disappointed with such prices. Many of them think about stopping the harvest. The similar situation was last year but then prices were a little bit higher.
