Poland: the purchase of early apples

In mazowieckie province exporting companies were buying Early Geneva apples (70 mm+) at price 1.50 PLN (0.35 euro)/kg last week. However in podlaskie province the price of apples intended for domestic market was 2.15 PLN (0.50 euro)/kg.

Last year the purchase price of early apples was about 2.00 PLN (0.46 euro)/kg. On wholesale markets prices of Early Geneva fluctuated from 0.53 - 2.20 PLN (0.12 -0.51 euro)/kg in Lublin to 1.33 - 2.66 PLN (0.31-0.62 euro)/kg in Bronisze. In Łódź the prices were 1.00 - 2.33 PLN (0.23-0.54 euro)/kg and in Poznań 1.30 - 2.00 PLN (0.30-0.46 euro)/kg.
