Prices of cabbage are stable at the low level

Prices of white cabbage have been stable for quite long time. The average price is 0.065 euro/kg, but there are the areas where the price of cabbage is even by 0.026 euro/kg lower.

A rainy weather in September didn't change this situation and such weather adversely influenced the quality of the cabbage. Prices in the current season are much lower than last year although this year crops will be lower than last year. According to the Central Statistic Office (GUS) this year crops of cabbage will be at 90% level of last year harvest and are also lower than the long-term average crops. Probably the main reason of lower prices is lower export and there are more and more cabbages on the domestic market.
