Prices of grapefruit on the Polish market

At the beginning of 2009 one can observe a considerable demand for citrus fruit among others grapefruit. On the wholesale market in Bronisze grapefruit from Turkey are the most popular.

On Wednesday, 7th January their prices were at the level 5.20 – 5.50 PLN (1.33 – 1.40 euro)/kg. The wholesalers are also usually strong interested in Florida grapefruit and their price on Wednesday was over 5.30 PLN(1.35 euro)/kg. Less popular grapefruit imported from Honduras are much cheaper - about 2.80 PLN(0.71 euro)/kg.
