Prices of industrial apples decreased again

The purchasing centres buying industrial apples much lowered the purchase prices this week. In podkarpackie province the prices were at the level of 0.035-0.04 EUR/kg.

In mazowieckie and świętokrzyskie provinces the price was about 0.038 EUR/kg. In małopolskie province the price was a little bit higher at 0.043 EUR/kg. The situation is caused by high stocks of the last year's apple juice concentrate which was produced from expensive apples (about 0.29 EUR/kg). Present prices of concentrate (about 700-720 euro/t) are very low and one can’t expect that the prices of industrial apples will rise in the near future.
