Production of aubergines

In mazowieckie province in companies buying aubergines for the trade on the domestic market price of these vegetables is about 1.27 – 1.41 euro/kg (1 class, diameter above 40 mm, packed into boxes of 10 kg).

This week the purchase prices of aubergines increased by about 6 % compared with the last week. Last year the purchase prices of aubergines were 1.41 - 1.69 euro/kg. In mazowieckie province the production of aubergines has been increasing constantly, particularly in the big production areas of pepper e.g. in surroundings of Radom. Some volumes of production are exported to eastern markets.
