Promotion of organic fruits and vegetables in the Netherlands
The program’s title is “Information provision and promotion measures
on organic fruits and vegetables in the internal market and particularly in the
Netherlands, Sweden and Germany”.
Continuing its promotional actions
in the target countries, the Association organized an event for the promotion
of the European organic fruits and vegetables in the Netherlands, on Tuesday,
May 27th, 2014, in van der
Valk Hotel in Ridderkerk, Rotterdam. More than 50 people attended the
event, mainly importers, traders, distributors and
journalists. Speeches were conducted by a representative of the Greek
producers, Mr Papadopoulos, the Senior Policy Advisor of Copa-Cogeca on the
Cooperatives enterprise policy and legislation, Mr Kalaitzis and by the General
Manager of Kroon Biologisch, Mr Pieter van der Schoot. After the speeches, a
chef presented a live cooking show using organic products. In the end, the
guests enjoyed a dinner.
All in all, the presence of the
Association of Greek bio-producers in the Netherlands was successful and
contributed to the promotion of the European organic fruits and vegetables,
highlighting their quality and safety.
