Quality of Chinese cabbage troublesome for exporters

Due to rainy weather producers of Chinese cabbage have problems with the quality of vegetable which is exposed to diseases. The quality is especially important for exporters. This season it is difficult to collect cabbage of really good quality that would give a guarantee that the product can withstand transport and the recipient will have no objections. Some companies even withdrew from export of Chinese cabbage this season.

As regards prices they are rather stable. On Tuesday, September 14 the price of Chinese cabbage was 1.80 - 2.00 PLN (0.45-0.51 euro)/kg and price of cabbage for export was even 2.20 PLN (0.56 euro)/kg.
