Rising prices of carrot

Last week there were a lot of purchasers interested in good quality carrot. Quite big volume of vegetables was exported to Russia. Thanks to this boom it was also week of increasing prices. Two weeks ago the prices were at the level of 1.20 – 1.30 for brushed carrot and came even to 1.60 PLN/ kg for best quality vegetables, packed in folic bags. Currently prices are from 1.30 – 1.60 PLN/ kg and come even to 2.00 PLN/ kg.

Of course, there is a lot of poorer quality carrot which prices are lower. Such brushed vegetable cost from 0.90 – 1.10 PLN/kg. However the demand is mainly for better one.
