Russians appreciate Polish Gala

Polish Gala is very popular on the Russian market. Gala is highly appreciated by Russian consumers. The demand for this variety in Russia caused that Polish trading companies started purchasing the bigger quantities of these apples. Especially Gala Must – very nice coloured variety - is in big demand.

Producer prices of Gala from CA are as follows: 1.00 to 1.10 PLN (0.26-0.28 €)/kg for apples size 65 +, 1.10 to 1.30 PLN (0.28-0.33 €)/kg for apples size 70 +. But some companies are ready to pay even by 0.10 – 0.20 PLN (0.025-0.50 €)/kg more. The price of apples size 75 + (fairly large size for this variety) is even 1.80 PLN (0.46 €)/kg.
