Spain: Increasing export of raspberries

According to the data published by Freshuelva (assosiation of strawberry producers and exporters) export of raspberry increased everywhere. To countries from outside of European Union at about 61%, mainly to Russian Federation and Switzerland.

Comparising current trade of fresh raspberries with previous campaign increase in export in general remains at the level of 23.7% and to European countries at the level of 21.5%.

Among European countries the main consumer of Spanish raspberries remains Great Britain which imports 34.8% of production from Huelva region (about 3.5 thousand tones). Germany imports 23.7% and Holland 16.8%. Other importers are France, Belgium, Italy, Austria and Ireland.

In Portugal import decreased at 78% due to bigger domestic production.
