Stable prices of Idared

So far prices of Idared (7+, packed into cardboard boxes) are stable at the level 0.25 – 0.28 euro/kg in spite of very big supply of apples.

Idared is the most popular variety produced in Poland (21% of acreage of apple orchards in 2007) intended mainly for export to the East. It is caused by a great resistance of Idared in storage and transport. According to experts a rise in prices of eating apples is expected at the end of 2008 or at the begging of 2009, when the export volume to the East clearly grows.
