Strawberries. The weather becomes a problem

On Monday the prices of dessert strawberries were at the level of 1.18 – 1.47 EUR for 2 kg basket. The lack of rain causes that more and more strawberries on the market are of poor quality and small size.

Therefore strawberries from irrigated plantations and cooled immediately after picking have higher prices than the average ones – up to 1.18 EUR/kg.

Prices of strawberries for processing are at the level of 0,44 – 0.59 EUR/kg for the fruit with stalk and calyx and 0.77 – 0.83 EUR/kg for strawberries without stalk and calyx.
